Applied AI & Forward Deployed Engineer

What you will own

• Design tool-calling and structured-output workflows across supported AI connectors.
• Evaluate answer quality, latency, cost and failure behavior with real scenarios.
• Work directly with beta users to convert ambiguous problems into repeatable product capability.
• Build guardrails for factual claims, permissions and employer-specific rules.

First 90-day outcomes

• Create an auditable evaluation set for the three core product paths.
• Improve first-use quality without hiding model uncertainty.
• Turn recurring beta-user needs into reusable tools rather than one-off prompts.

What we are looking for

• Shipped LLM or applied-AI systems beyond demos.
• Strong software engineering and API integration capability.
• Practical understanding of evaluation, RAG, tool use, latency and model trade-offs.
• Comfort working directly with users and incomplete requirements.
